Wednesday – Bundaberg (B,L,D)
Depart Brisbane and travel north to Amamoor, where you’ll join the return leg of the famous Mary Valley Rattler heritage train to Gympie. Travel north to Bundaberg, and board the Bundy Belle River cruise as we wind our way down the Burnett River. At sunset, enjoy local fresh seafood platters to toast to an amazing day of contrasting experiences. Check in to your accommodation. Overnight: Kelly’s Beach Resort, Bundaberg
Thursday – Rockhampton (B,L,D)
Travel north via Agnes Water to the Town of 1770 for a memorable LARC! experience. Cruise the coastline of Eurimbula National Park aboard the iconic pink amphibious craft, with commentary from local skippers. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the beach, taking in the spectacular views of Bustard Bay. Continue to Rockhampton to check into your accommodation before dinner. 2 nights: Empire Apartments, Rockhampton

Visit Archer Park Rail Museum to learn about the historic Purrey Steam Tram, before travelling onto Koorana Crocodile Farm for a guided tour. Travel inland through changing landscapes, stopping for morning tea at Mount Morgan Historic Railway Museum. Learn the rich history of gold in a bygone era. Our journey passes through the Dawson Valley, rich cattle and cropping country to Carnarvon Ranges. Arrive at Carnarvon Gorge Wilderness Lodge, where safari-style cabins are set amongst towering gums and sandstone cliffs. Sunday – Carnarvon (B,L,D)
Join a guided tour discovering the natural and cultural treasures of Carnarvon Gorge including majestic sandstone gorges, rainforest pockets, and the tranquil Moss Gorge. Late afternoon, visit Nyanda Station for a Mount Carnarvon sunset experience. As escarpments glow with fiery colour, enjoy refreshments and soak up the spirit of this remarkable landscape.
Monday – Blackall (B,L,D)
Depart via Springsure to view the Virgin Rock formation, then join a Smoking Ceremony with Traditional Owners. Continue along the Wilderness Way— often called the Roof of Queensland—with a picnic lunch en route. Arrive in Tambo for afternoon tea at the famed Tambo Teddies workshop. In Blackall, take a twilight tour of the historic Woolscour, Australia’s last remaining steam-operated wool-washing plant, followed by dinner onsite. Overnight: Oasis Motor Inn, Blackall
Tuesday – Longreach (B,L,D)
Visit the Bushman’s Artisans Gallery in the old Bushman’s Hotel before morning tea at The Lodge on Hawthorn. Continue to Isisford to explore the Outer Barcoo Interpretation Centre and the story of Isisfordia Duncani, one of the world’s oldest crocodile ancestors. After lunch, visit the legendary Wellshot Hotel, a favourite outback pub, then arrive in Longreach. Board the Great Darr River Rail Run, travelling by heritage rail motor across sweeping grasslands to the Darr River waterhole.
