This morning, we explore the fascinating themed galleries at the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame and discover inspiring stories of our pioneering heroes. Visit the Bushman’s Artisans Gallery in the old Bushman’s Hotel before morning tea at The Lodge on Hawthorn. Continue to Isisford to explore the Outer Barcoo Interpretation Centre and the story of Isisfordia Duncani, one of the world’s oldest crocodile ancestors. After lunch, visit the legendary Wellshot Hotel, a favourite outback pub, then arrive in Longreach. Wednesday – Longreach (B,L,D)
Board the Heritage Rail Motors travelling west for the Great Darr River Run, and take in the changing country as you encounter wildlife and bring alive the numerous waterholes, passing scrub and grasslands with incredible natural and cultural heritage.
