This Australian folk festival is based upon the magnificent spectacle of the hundreds of lilac-blossomed trees which grow in Grafton’s broad tree-lined avenues. Travel in comfort aboard our luxury Gold Class coach with a Fun Over 50 Holidays Tour Host and Coach Captain, starting with morning tea at Tropical Fruit World and lunch in Yamba before a two-night stay in Grafton. Enjoy a locally guided coach tour, visit historic Schaeffer House, and soak up the Jacaranda Festival atmosphere with street performances, market stalls, live music and the Grand Float Parade (lunch at own expense). Today, we journey to Coffs Harbour, where our first stop is the Clog Barn, a charming Dutch-themed attraction. Here, we indulge in traditional Poffertjes (Dutch pancakes) for morning tea, watch a fascinating clog-making demonstration, and explore the Dutch Village and gift shop. Next, we visit the Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary, a renowned marine park and rescue centre dedicated to marine conservation. We enjoy a private behind-the-scenes tour, gaining insight into their vital work in wildlife rehabilitation and conservation efforts. A highlight of our visit is the Dreamtime Dolphin Show, where we marvel at the intelligence of dolphins and seals. Before departing, enjoy some free time to explore the park’s other marine exhibits at your own pace.
