Our journey takes us to Wonthaggi, where we explore the rich history of the Wonthaggi State Coal Mine Heritage Area. Next, we tour the Royal Botanic Gardens on the explorer, discovering Australian landscapes before lunch at Boon Wurrung Café. In the afternoon, we arrive in Cowes for some free time and hotel check-in. As evening falls, we visit Phillip Island Nature Park for the Penguin Parade, watching from premium underground viewing as hundreds of fairy penguins waddle ashore, creating an unforgettable dusk spectacle. **The Wonthaggi underground tour requires a level 3 fitness rating, as you are to walk in and out of the cave system via a 300m long tunnel at a 1:4 gradient (quite steep). Cancellations 30-60 days forfeit 50% of the tour cost, and within 30 days forfeit the full amount. We strongly recommend travel insurance to protect your investment.
